Bonjour
Message reçu dans le courriel du COO :
Bonjour COO -- ca-va? Hope all is well.

I wanted to report what I believe was an adult golden eagle near Quyon earlier today, around 4pm. My wife and I were returning from Gatineau and turned off the 148 to explore nearer the mountains. We were travelling along Chemin Steele, and just at a curve saw a very large raptor flying away from us. It was dark all over, but the setting sun showed gold gleams on the nape and shoulders. The dihedral was flat, not like a TV, and more like a bald eagle, but it seemed larger, and showed no white anywhere. It kept flying steadily towards the mountains.

The location.was just before #3666 Chemin Steele. I don't use Ebird as I have an older smart phone.

We are from Muskoka, Ontario, and have just moved to Mansfield this past summer.

Tout-à-fait possible. On en voit régulièrement à cet endroit. Carl en a rapporté un récemment au chemin Eardley-Masham.
